Tagwii Recovery Center
Tagwii is the star which appears every month right beside the new moon - they travel together. Tagwii is the exuberance of youth. A lot of young people go through that rambunctious stage before they find themselves.
Tagwii is the star that learns: one need never walk alone. Men and women who were seen to never have a chance, to have run into too many difficulties in their lives, need to walk with one other for awhile. Each one needs to contribute to their own well-being, and find their own way - never to travel alone - but by giving of oneself, learn how to walk on one's own.
Tagwii is the name given to the healing program on the Fond du Lac Reservation in Minnesota.
The Tagwii Recovery Center encompasses a treatment process that recognizes and accommodates the diversity among American Indian people. The program addresses the issues of historical trauma and cultural disruption through culturally-specific and evidence-based methods. Tagwii provides a holistic treatment approach that tends to the multiple needs of each client.
Tagwii Rule 25 Walk-Ins allowed for MNAW & CAIR. See details here.
