Fond du Lac Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Mission Statement
Recognizing that many everyday life stressors can negatively affect employee well-being by creating a healthier work environment, Fond du Lac’s employee assistance program (EAP) is a benefit program that assists employees, and their families, with personal or work-related problems that may impact their job performance, health and general well-being.

The goal of the EAP program is to become a place that employees and supervisors feel comfortable reaching out to for advice and brainstorming out of the box solutions.

Is what I discuss with the EAP Coordinator be kept confidential?
The details of your participation with the EAP Coordinator may not be released to anyone without your written consent. Your privacy is protected by strict confidentiality laws, HIPAA & 42 CFR part 2. A “Statement of Understanding” regarding confidentiality will be given & read to you prior to any services performed, as well as a Release of Information.
How to get in contact with the EAP?
The employee can set up an appointment to meet in-person, video, texting and e-mail are the best way to access EAP services.
How do I get a referral to the EAP?
Self-Referral - The employee can arrange a private appointment to discuss any type of personal challenges or problems that may be too much to handle alone.
Management Referral - Management can assist any employee in arranging a private appointment when there has been a noticeable decline in work performance preferable prior to disciplinary action or termination.
What Does EAP Offer?
The EAP Coordinator can assist you in learning some simple coping skills to improve your job, career, personal growth, and networking that may be a better way on how to deal with challenges in your life. Will ensure that all employees will be treated fairly when assisting you in your concerns. Will help you address challenges that can improve your job performance and reliability. Can help you and your department learn of the Fond du Lac policies that are set in place to work with all employees. This helps ensure that the work environment can be a healthy place of employment.
EAP will also work with you to help resolve a wide variety of challenges including alcohol and drug abuse, work and family pressures, legal and financial problems, job stress, and other concerns which can affect your work performance and personal growth. EAP can also help you navigate through your Benefits such as FML and short/long term disability.
Does EAP offer more than counseling services?
In addition to short-term solution focused teaching on an individual basis, your EAP can provide training or information designed to help you, immediate family members, and/or co-workers establish resources and enhance communication skills.
